” Style is very personal, it has nothing to do with fashion ” – Ralph Lauren

The weekends are to relax from a busy week of work and errands. Saturday’s and Sunday’s are for waking up late, having breakfast in bed, pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup (yum!). These are days to spend with your loved ones and have fun.
This means a break too from your working clothes, be it a uniform, a strict suit, or any structured looks you’ve been wearing all week. It’s the perfect time to let your personal style shine and wear exactly what you want. BUT while your weekend look should be relaxed and comfortable it shouldn’t be sloppy. Casual days are often the times when you have more freedom because there are no standards or any dress code. Remember you always want to look pulled together, and most important, like yourself !

” Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing ” – Alexander Wang

For the weekend I chose this outfit based first of all on the weather, then on my mood and finally on what I was going to do during the day.

The Shorts are very comfortable because the fabric is very soft and lightweight, the shirt too is sheer and perfect for a hot summer day, and a jacket for when the sun sets and the weather get a little chilly.

What I like about this outfit is that it can be worn with sneakers and a large tote for a more casual and comfortable look, or you can swap the sneakers for heels, the tote for a clutch, and you go from casual to dressy in two seconds !

For my accessories I chose a pair of bold gold rings, stud earings, a very small necklace that I never take of and a pair of sunglasses to complete my look.
